First Week Highlights!

The first week of school has come and gone. We spent a lot of our time this week learning about procedures and expectations. The Saint’s helped me pick some highlights from our week to share with you! Some of our highlights were: meeting Miss Savides (our 4th grade teacher) who will be teaching us art, hearing Miss Savides speak Greek, creating our Recipe for Success, learning about Creation, and new P.E. adventures.

In art, Miss Savides had us uniquely create our name.
During this art activity we were able to learn more about each other and Miss Savides. We even got to hear her speak Greek!

The first day of school we created our Recipe for Success. We are all so excited to be a part of everyone’s success this year. We learned about measuring cups and spoons while creating our recipe. It was so much fun measuring out ingredients for our recipe.

We began exploring creation through Mystery of History this week. We were all so excited to review the days of creation and begin our creation number booklet. There were lots of question and discussion times during our lessons. In our weekly reflection, JU said “I liked how God just said the word and it happened”. I personally thought this statement was amazing. It’s so simply said, but yet so powerful. All God had to do was speak (wow!).

P.E. was a blast! We played games that allowed us all to get a little closer. One activity we had to complete was Silly Squats. In this activity we had to place a ball between our and our partners forehead and squat 3 times without dropping the ball. In another activity, we had to stand back to back with our partner and twist and turn to pass the ball without breaking contact.

This week was full of wonderful, fun, and creative activities. We hope you enjoyed a little look into our first week, and we can’t wait to share more with you throughout the year!
